Transition to High School
8th & 9th Grade Fall Parents Night: Post-Secondary College Options
Come join other parents and enjoy a discussion of post-secondary college options, an evening planned in response to requests last spring for more information on this subject. What kinds of questions should you be asking as parents of younger high school and middle school students? What are some of the best resources you can easily access to plan an academic pathway? There will be a presentation, a time for dialogue and questions, and an introduction to some of our electronic and paper resources. You will learn about the “CHOICES Explorer” program that the 8th grade students are using and the CHOICES program used in the high school, and everyone will have an opportunity to try out the appropriate version. Come play with the possibilities that your young person is facing, and come to learn about steps that you can take at this point
in their schooling.
