Winter Carnival
Winter Carnival is a yearly event at Maranacook, involving a week of friendly class competitions in activities such as minigolf in the hallways, cribbage, costumes, and snowcastles. The Carnival culminates on Friday in an exciting assembly of class competitions.

New this year:
- Ultimate Frisbee and Dodgeball with be offered outside this year.
- There will be a semi-formal Snow Ball on March 3, 8-11 pm in the gym.
GROUND RULES
Each student may compete in up to two after school activities, and one assembly activity. The exception is the snow sculptures; anyone can be involved and it does not count as one of the two activities you are allowed to compete in. ALSO: Any student may compete in the “back up” Assembly events, time permitting.

Thursday: Beach Day (wear your favorite school-appropriate beach wear)
Friday: Color Day: Seniors - blue; Juniors - green; Sophomores - red; Freshman - orange

FRIDAY ASSEMBLY
On Friday, a closing assembly will be held in the Gymnasium, including a variety of competitions. The class with the most points will be crowned Winter Carnival Champions! Definitely on the agenda are Staff vs. Student Volleyball, Dance Competitions, Arm Wrestling, Tug-of-War, Musical Chairs, and the judging of Snow Sculptures. Other events may be added in, time permitting. The Carnival will culminate with a semi-formal Snow Ball Saturday evening! Tickets available at the door.
