Thank you for your questions regarding the revised school calendar, in particular, the first student week and Wednesday 9/9. The calendar is correct; there will be school for students on Wednesday, 9/9. We found it important to hold school that day since Monday is a holiday, and Tuesday is the first student day for select grades.
To clarify, the first student day for Grades K-2, 6, and 9 is Tuesday, 9/8. The first student day for Grades PreK, 3-5, 7, 8, and 10-12 is Wednesday, 9/9. Students enrolled in the CATC program will attend school at MCHS on 9/9 and 9/10; their first day at the CATC program will be Friday, 9/11.
Sincerely,
Jay Charette
