Art show announcement for student show starting 3/4/23

Jeremy Smith’s Honors students are proud to share their recent work with the Maranacook community  this March for Youth Art Month.  Our gallery show has the name Sustenance and Joy assigned to it. The title was chosen to remember a classmate who passed away this year, Sam Sessler. It very much describes this student’s positive outlook on life and his attitude that art provides important joy, guidance, and sustenance through life’s hardships. With art and creativity, Sam believed that people can work to focus energy on solution-based experiences that do so much to enrich our lives.

In addition to the opening night on March 4, guests and the public can view Sustenance and Joy on Saturday, March 11 and Saturday, March 18 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A special thank you to gallery owner, Camee Davidson, for the invite to show student work!

From Jeremy: “I am really impressed at the abilities, determination and work towards advancement as artists that I have observed in students attending my Honors Art courses this year. Their creativity, cooperative attitudes and concentration in their study of the multiple art disciplines has been phenomenal. I cannot wait to share their work with you on the opening date of March 4 and very much hope you are able to attend that event from 5-8 PM.”
