​National History Day Competition

Three Maranacook students participated in the State NHD contest the first week of May. Delaney Crocker created an exhibit about Art movements in the 20th century titled “Communication Through Color: Weaponized Art Movements in the 20th Century”. Maxwell Olmstead created a website about how propaganda has been used in history titled, “How Ideas Unite and Separate us: the Art of Propaganda”. Claire Holman created a documentary related to the history of political ads titled, “Going Dark: A History of Negative Advertising”. Congratulations to all 3 for their efforts! A special congratulations goes out to Claire Holman who finished 2nd place in the state for her documentary. She now qualifies to advance to the National contest held the 2nd week of June!
